Meridian Wellbeing Services is partnered with Directions ACT to provide free and confidential counselling for individuals affected by their own or another person’s use of alcohol, drugs or other addictions. We are committed to providing a safe, inclusive and non-judgemental therapeutic environment that values the unique lived experiences of anyone seeking alcohol and other drugs counselling. We welcome members of the community regardless of gender, sexual orientation, ability, cultural background or religious belief.
The counsellor will conduct an initial assessment, it helps to make sure that a client’s treatment support plan addresses their needs and issues and provides the best possible treatment plan for them. The focus is on helping clients to identify their goals. The alcohol and other drug practitioners use a variety of treatment approaches including cognitive behaviour therapy, motivational interviewing and person-centred practice, to help clients change the way they think about their substance use and to find ways that allow them to make positive changes in their lives and achieve their goals.
The in-reach AOD Counselling will be delivered at Meridian premises.
To make an enquiry please contact Meridian Wellbeing Services on 6257 2855, via email at [email protected] or complete AOD Counselling Self-Referral or AOD Counselling Client Referral Form.
