The Australian Research Centre in Sex, Health and Society are seeking participants for a study into LGBTQ+ people’s experiences of accessing mental health and alcohol and other drug (AOD) services at LGBTQ+ community-controlled organisations and/or mainstream health organisations across Australia.
The research team is currently seeking to form a Community Advisory Group with the aim of helping to inform the design and execution of the project. The Community Advisory Group will consist of about 8-12 members, drawn from a range of backgrounds.
Members of the Community Advisory Group will:
- Attend up to three Zoom meetings per year with fellow LGBTQ+ community members and researchers for the duration of the project until 2028
- Engage in discussion and make decisions about key aspects of the project
- Review project materials
- Provide general feedback
- Be paid for their time
If you are LGBTQ+, aged 16 or over, reside in Australia, have accessed or tried to access mental health and/or alcohol and other drugs (AOD) services and are interested in helping to inform research, please express your interest at: https://redcap.link/qg4doxc7
