Segments of Care
Due to unprecedented demand and a growing waitlist, Meridian Wellbeing Services has moved to a Segment of Care service model to ensure more clients have the opportunity to access support.
What this means is that your Counselling, Psychology or Social Work support will be focused on your individual wellness goals within a maximum of 6 sessions.
Our Intake Officer will discuss this with you, as will your clinician when planning the best care for you. Once an individual’s Segment of Care comes to a close, they can request to be put back on the waitlist for future Segments of Care as they become available.
Inclusive Pathways is a wellbeing service providing free psychological and social work support for LGBTIQA+ (or questioning) folk who are 16+ years and live/work or study in the ACT. This program requires a Mental Health Treatment Plan from a GP. Inclusive Pathways is funded by the Capital Health Network (CHN).
Meridian is now hosting a Hobart Place General Practice GP / GP registrar at our pop-up GP clinic within Meridian Wellbeing Services.
This pop-up is focused on short-term or one-off GP support for LGBTIQA+ folk who experience barriers to seeing a safe and affirming GP.
We can help with:

This is an appointment-based service that operates at Meridian on a Thursday from 8.30am to 12.00pm.
Appointments are bulk-billed via Medicare or paid privately for reimbursement by patient health insurers.
