Current lockdown status of Wellbeing Services

Meridian is accredited to the National Standards for Mental Health Services (NSMHS)

We are an appointment-based service, we are not a crisis service.

Please Note:
Meridian Wellbeing Services are currently experiencing unprecedented demands on our psychological, social work and counselling services. The current waitlist is being managed, however we will be temporarily closed for any new bookings. You are welcome to complete an online enquiry form, however your enquiry will be actioned when our services are available for bookings. During this time EAP services will continue to operate.

We sincerely thank you for your patience during this time of high demand.

Due to unprecedented demand and a growing waitlist, Meridian Wellbeing Services are moving to a segment-of-care service model to ensure that more clients get the opportunity to access support.

What this means is that your counselling or psychological support will be focused on your individual wellness goals while being contained to a maximum of 6 to 8 sessions. Our Intake Officer will discuss this with you as will your clinician when we are planning the best care for you. Once an individual’s segment-of-care comes to a close, clients will be put back on the waitlist for further segments of care.

ACON - Its Who We Are: Exploring the Role, Impact and Value of Peers

The history of the successful response to HIV in New South Wales is a testament to the effectiveness and strength of the community’s response and the understanding shown by policy makers, researchers, politicians and other health professionals to work in partnership with affected communities. This partnership has been at the core of the world leading response and has meant that NSW has been able to respond to HIV more effectively than many other places around the world.

At the centre of this partnership has been our communities and the peer workers who have dedicated countless hours and much energy in responding to HIV and in supporting and caring for each other.
