ANNUAL REPORT (2013)

This year has been a big journey for the Meridian. We’ve grown in capability and capacity. We’ve reinforced strong foundations. They have been challenging but exciting times and it has been a privilege and honour to be part of that journey.

I must admit my heart sank when Andrew Burry said he was leaving. He had done an amazing job of professionalising the Council. Scott Malcolm was also stepping down after three wonderful years as President. I wondered what it would be like for me as a brand new President working with a new Executive Director, a new strategic plan and a new funding agreement with ACT Health. I felt that the year would be a time of big change, especially for the staff and the Board. I’m pleased to say it has been positive change. It places the Council well now and in the future. I’d like to outline some of those changes for you.
