It’s been another busy and rewarding year for Meridian. With a new strategic plan setting the direction, we have been working diligently to meet our ambitious objectives.
The HIV-prevention space is changing faster than ever; with new technologies putting the national goal of virtually eliminating HIV transmissions by 2020 within reach. In particular, Pre-exposure Prophylaxis, or PrEP, is radically changing the way we respond to HIV transmissions. It’s providing a new way for HIV negative people to protect themselves from contracting the virus, and is being hailed as the most significant advance in HIV prevention for more than 20 years. Increasing access to PrEP has been a core focus of our work over the last year.
