As part of our Canberra Day Appeal 2026 campaign, we are running a competition to guess how many balls fit into a condom before it burst! Guess the right number and you'll win an awesome prize pack!
The competition will run from 26 February to 9 March and we'll be posting progressive videos of the condom filling on our social media channels (Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn) and this webpage to help you guess!

Prize pack
The winner will receive a Meridian prize pack including:
- a selection of 10 pride hand flags, valued at $3.50 each
- a selection of 11 Cover Yourself in Canberra postcards
- a selection of 13 Meridian stickers: 12 pride flags and one of artwork made for Meridian by Aunty Tina Brown
- a selection of 4 Meridian pride flag lanyards, valued at $10 each
- 5 safer sex packs, including a condom and water-based lubricant, each with a different design from the Cover Yourself in Canberra campaign
- one bottles each of Brunswick Aces Spades blend and Hearts blend non-alcoholic premium botanical sapiir (in the style of gin), valued at $44.95 each
- one enamel pronoun or ally pin of their choice, valued at $10 (for examples, see our Pride Merchandise).

How to claim your guess

Step 1: Make a donation to Meridian of at least $5 through the Canberra Day Appeal.
Step 2: Head to our Square shop and 'purchase' (for free) a number to be your guess. Step 3: Keep an eye on our social media channels to watch the progressive reveal of the condom filling and see when it bursts!

The boring but necessary stuff: competition rules
Entry requirements
To enter, participants must:
- live in the ACT or the wider Canberra region
- make a minimum $5 donation to Meridian through the Canberra Day Appeal website at https://canberra-day-appeal-2026.raiselysite.com/o/meridian between 26 February and 9 March 2026 inclusive
- Donations made outside of this period or directly through the Meridian website are not eligible for this competition.
- claim their selected number using the Meridian square platform.
Meridian staff and Board members are not eligible for the competition. Meridian volunteers and members who are not staff or Board members may enter the competition.
The winner
The participant who gets the correct number will be declared the winner.
- In the case that no one guesses the correct number, the participant with the closest number will be declared the winner.
- If the person who would otherwise be the winner has not met the entry requirements, the winner will be the next eligible person with the closest number to the correct one.
- In the case of ties, the winner will be the person with the lower guess.
The winner will be determined on or before 11 March.
Notifying the winner
The winner will be notified by phone call or email, depending on details they have provided.
If Meridian is unable to contact the winner within 7 days despite at least 3 attempts, they will be considered to have forfeited their prize and there will not be any winner.
The prize pack will be delivered to a Canberra-region address or the winner can pick it up from the Meridian offices.
If the winner is unable to provide a delivery address or does not pick up the prize pack within 30 days, they will be considered to have forfeited their prize and there will not be any winner.
