Executive Officer

ABOUT THE POSITION

The Executive Officer provides expert executive support, project coordination, reporting and strategic and governance support to the CEO. The Executive Officer assists with operational and administrative management of Meridian.

Key Responsibilities

Executive support and communications

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for the CEO including management of diary and travel.
  • Coordinate and prepare materials for meetings, presentations, and events.
  • Draft, review, and manage correspondence, reports, and other documents.

Strategic support and project coordination

  • Conduct research and analysis to support strategic decision-making.
  • Lead projects and initiatives to improve systems, practices and processes for finance, human resource management, performance improvement, IT and administration systems.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to achieve project goals.
  • Coordinate development, implementation and review of organisational policies and procedures.

Governance and reporting

  • Provide secretariat support to the Board and its Committees including preparation of briefing materials and reports.
  • Manage all logistical aspects of holding a successful meeting.
  • Ensure governance requirements and compliance obligations are monitored and achieved.

Compliance and records management

  • Ensure all internal and external compliance obligations are achieved including risk management, records management, data management, privacy and Work Health and Safety.
  • Maintain accurate and useful contact management information, project management details, vital records and reporting information.

ABOUT YOU

You have a strong record of achievement in providing executive and governance support with a minimum of three years' professional experience in a similar role. You thrive in a fast-paced environment; equally comfortable working as part of a team as you are working autonomously.

Bringing patience, tolerance and sensitivity you are able to identify and managing complex issues and challenges. You pride yourself on your exceptional attention to detail, communication and time management skills.

You demonstrate a strong commitment to and understanding of Meridian's communities including people affected by the HIV and people of diverse sexualities, gender experiences, bodies and relationships.
