About the campaign
Meridian is pleased to announce that we will be launching a huge three-part sexual health promotion campaign that will span over all social media channels, see the creation of a dedicated and specially designed website content as well as print media. The aim of the campaign will be to reduce STI and BBV prevalence in the community! And we want YOU (the community) to form the imagery that will be used for the campaign!
We are searching for lesbian, gay, bisexual, pansexual, or queer+ women (cis and trans) who are enthusiastic about contributing to our campaign focused on increasing knowledge about STIs and HIV, while encouraging safer sex practices in lesbian, gay, bisexual, and queer women’s communities. The non-explicit yet sexually stylised photographs will play a crucial role in this educational initiative. The photoshoot will be run by Canberra’s very own @boudoirqueencanberra and will have a boudoir style and vibe. So, if you’re up for it, get ready to get raunchy!
We know that being vulnerable can lead to some tricky feelings, and that’s why support will be available from a Meridian Wellbeing staff member.
What we are looking for…
For the third part of our series, we are calling on lesbian, gay, bisexual, pansexual, or queer+ women (cis and trans) of all kinds - we're celebrating the beauty of empowerment and diversity! Any body type is encouraged, we want to see any lumps, bumps, scars, and tattoos that make your body unique. Models chosen are also welcome to bring along their partners (of any gender) to be photographed together as a part of the shoot. Please note, people who are not lesbian, gay, bisexual, pansexual or queer+ women will not be photographed independently, they will only be photographed in poses with their partner. If you are applying and would like your partner to be a part of your shoot, please indicate this in your application with your partner’s name, gender, and any details about them you’d like to share. If you are a woman in a partnership with another woman, please apply separately and name each other in your application (so we know you’re connected!).
We will be using the images to create imagery and styling for both a sexual health campaign and adjoining website. Please note, images for the campaign will not use any faces or names of participants. Images will also be zoomed in and cropped to create mesmerising visuals where individual identities remain anonymous. It's all about celebrating the collective spirit, diversity, and strength of our community without compromising anyone's confidentiality!
Session Details
- The photography session will involve capturing images of participants' bodies, focusing on conveying a message of empowerment, diversity, sexuality, and inclusivity.
- While the imagery may involve the removal of some clothes in a private setting, there will be no explicit nudity or explicit content during the session.
- Our aim is to celebrate the diversity of bodies, encouraging individuals with unique bodies to apply.
- The session will be held at a hotel in Canberra from 10:30am- 3:00pm on Saturday 16th *Note you will only be required at the venue for your shoot and are free to leave once you have finished.
- The room the photoshoot will take place in is a room suited for someone living with reduced mobility. There will be no steps to the hotel nor within and there will be elevator access to the floor of the room.
Campaign Objective:
The photographs taken during this session will be a pivotal part of our sexual health campaign. They will be used to:
- Increase awareness about sexually transmitted infections (STIs) and HIV within the community.
- Promote a comprehensive understanding of safer sex practices and encourage their adoption in all forms of sexual activity.
- Represent the rich diversity of our community, showcasing men from different backgrounds, body types, and walks of life.
- Foster a sense of solidarity, self-acceptance, and sexual well-being among our community.
What’s in it for you?
In exchange for your time and energy we will give one edited photo of yourself (that won’t be included in the campaign) to take home as well as a $200.00 gift card. You’ll also leave with the satisfaction of knowing you personally supported the efforts to keep the LGBTIQA+ community safer and healthier!

What we require
- You will need to be available on the 16th December between 10.30am - 3.00pm.
- Be ready to be in front of the camera in a boudoir style setting.
- Be able to follow directions and show expression.
Please note:
- Participants must be aged 18 and over.
- The photoshoot will take place in Canberra, ACT.
- Participants will receive an edited image of themselves and a $200.00 gift voucher in return of their services.
- Meridian Wellbeing Services will be on location during the photo shoot if you need support.
- Refreshments will be provided on the day.
- Positions are limited, participants will be chosen to ensure diversity across the campaign. If you are not chosen for this photography session, any details submitted below will be deleted.
- You will be contacted about the outcome of your expression of interest.
