Rainbow Families National Survey

Can you help us reach every queer parent in Australia?

Rainbow Families Australia and Queensland University of Technology (QUT) have launched the first ever national survey focused on the health Image of a group of people wearing shirts saying 'Love makes a family'. Text reads 'Help us understand the big picture for LGBTQ+ families across Australia. Take the Rainbow Families National Survey and be heard, seen and counted. Speak up, we're listening!'

This study aims to build evidence to improve LGBTQ+ services, policy and support, capture family structures missed in official data, and help make queer families visible and counted!

It is open to all LGBTQ+ parents, carers and guardians across Australia, regardless of their rainbow family structure.

Why this matters:
• Builds evidence to improve services, policy and support.
• Captures family structures often missed in official data.
• Helps make queer families visible and counted.

About the survey:
• Open to all LGBTQ+ parents, carers and guardians.
• Anonymous and ethics-approved by QUT.
• Takes around 20 minutes to complete.
• Open to all rainbow family structures nationwide.
