DecrimACT, with Meridian and the Sex Worker Outreach Program (SWOP) ACT, is delivering an info session on the ACT Government's Fairer and Safer Sex Work Regulation consultation process on Saturday 21 March from 12 to 1:30pm.
This will cover the state of sex work in the ACT currently, why we need decriminalisation, and what you can do to help sex workers achieve equal rights.
This session will also cover the consultation process.
About DecrimACT
DecrimACT (also known as the ACT Sex Woker Working Group) is an advocacy group of diverse sex workers living and working on Ngunnawal and Ngambri land.
We campaign for sex worker rights and for the full decriminalisation of sex work that has led to the current ACT Government consultation. We are volunteers, working to change ACT laws which criminalise our worker rights, safety and choices. We seek to reduce stigma and the discrimination sex workers experience through educational workshops and creative projects to create an empathic community.
