Canberra Gay Community Periodic Survey (GCPS) Snapshot 2021

A snapshot infographic of some of the key findings from the Canberra Gay Community Periodic Survey (GCPS).

The GCPS is a repeated, cross-sectional survey of gay, bisexual and men who have sex with other men. The major aim of the survey is to provide data on sexual, drug use and testing practices related to the transmission of HIV and other sexually transmissible infections (STIs). While participants are typically recruited face-to-face from a range of gay community sites across Canberra, in 2021 the survey was conducted solely online due to COVID-19 restrictions. From its start in 2000, the project has been funded by ACT Health, coordinated by Meridian and managed by UNSW Sydney. The 2021 survey is the ninth conducted in Canberra.
