Come along to the Meridian Creative Social, where creativity knows no bounds, and diversity is our masterpiece! Meridian Creative Social is more than an art group; it's a social event where friendships blossom and where the unique stories of the LGBTQIA+ and HIV impacted communities come alive. Our art group invites you and your friends and support people to join us at the vibrant Pride Hub, where we embark on a journey of self-expression and connection through various arts and crafts.
Bring along your own arts and crafts projects to work on, or pick out and try one of our beginner kits ranging from Watercolours and Diamond Painting to Needle Felting, Embroidery and Colouring In. The group runs fortnightly on Mondays from 5pm to 7:15pm starting on the 25th of March. We will be starting with 6 sessions, with the intention to extend in the future.

Facilitators will be staff and students from Meridian’s Wellbeing Team and from time to time a visiting Art Therapist, however, the group is here to provide a creative outlet for the LGBTQIA+ and HIV impacted communities, and a place to meet new people.
Meridian’s Pride Hub, situated in Havelock House and accessed via our ramped main entrance, is generally very accessible. However, please be aware that our bathrooms are not suitable for non-ambulant folks. There will not be any loud music or bright lighting and there will be coffee, tea, soft drinks and water, and some light nibbles. Don’t forget to RSVP for EACH session so that we can make sure the hub does not get too busy! PLEASE cancel if you think you will not be attending by clicking on the cancellation button in the email confirmation.
